(London.CityRegiions.com, November 13, 2012 ) Birmingham, U.K -- Courtney Robertson, of the Bachelor television show, was photographed at the Neil Lane jewelry store in Los Angeles as she returned the $80,000 3-carat engagement ring she received from Ben Flajnik.
Robertson won the competition in season 16 of the show, and appeared to be in a glum mood as she handed over the ring to its rightful owners. It was claimed that the winners of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” do not pay for the engagement rings and thus the rings must be returned.
The 29-year-old model was in high spirits nights prior as she was photographed with Arie Luyendyk Jr, during a night out.
The pair was spotted enjoying an intimate meal on Thursday night at Quiessence Restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona. The couple was seen together a week following the announced split of Robertson and Flajnik.
"After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship. The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers," the exes said in a statement to In Touch magazine.
"We have nothing but the utmost respect for each other, and both feel this is the right decision," they went on. "We continue to remain friends and will support each other in future endeavors. Thanks to everyone for your love and support, it's been quite a ride."
For those who do not follow the series intently enough, Robertson was seen as something of a villain, as she seemed more interested in playing the game than finding a soulmate. She is not the first, and the show likely hopes she is not the last, to have a rather nefarious endeavor when competing for the affection of a star of such shows. About Marlows-Diamonds.co.uk:
