(London.CityRegions.com, February 17, 2014 ) London, UK -- Exhibitions are a fantastic way to increase brand awareness and reach new customers. The only trouble is, small brands struggle to stand out in exhibitions due to bigger brands commanding a more sizeable exhibition space. Due to this, many smaller brands lose out at exhibitions, and fail to capture the audience’s attention.
Ms West from Park Crescent Conference Centre believes that small brands must develop a theme to overcome this challenge. "Many small brands fail to prepare for an exhibition. They put a lot of effort into planning it, but this isn't going to address the theme. A consistent theme, one that takes into account; design, pitch, and material, will help smaller brands reach out and command more attention."
In a piece of My Customer, Richard Edward says that attracting visitors to a stand is critical. "Successful engagement has to start with getting visitors to your stand" says Edwards. "Once you have attracted visitors to your stand, you then need to engage them. There is no ‘one size fits all’ way to do this, instead it’s best to combine a few techniques."
Those techniques include having engaging staff, offering refreshments, but most of all, having a theme that remains consistent and caters to a wide audience.
According to Second Opinion Marketing, the value of an exhibition comes in its neutrality "The beauty of an exhibition is that it is a neutral environment in which to do business. The visitor feels, and to some extent is, in control and therefore is more at ease and less pressured which is a good attitude for them to have when you open up a business dialogue with them."
On the subject of the power of exhibitions, Ms West believes that they offer a unique opportunity. "Exhibitions and events offer an incredible opportunity for brands to deliver a high impact impression on prospects." says Ms West. "Brands have the opportunity to connect with and engage interactively with an audience. There is no other medium as powerful to do so."
